Before lock down I had a few hours down at the local pond having fishing in the margins stalking for carp, and was very suprised when the tench appeared. I was fishing on my 10ft shakespear Onmi pellet waggler rod with 6lb 0.18 Guru mainline with a 4" hooklength with a size 16 Animal hook with a small bait band. I was fishing with single corn and Reb Robin pellets.
The first hour was really quite which was nice, Just to sit and relax and get a feel for what the next move would be if nothing happened. 🤔 my mind would not stop as I sat there say shall I or shan't I..... don't you just love it when your mind is running at 100 miles a hour
I was thinking, what depth shall I fish, what float should I change to, or do I fish a small method feeder with the method mix I brought with me. The temptation is always there to change my set-up after 10 minutes of fishing just becuase I'm not feeling confident enough on my current presentation.
Before I even made a choice that hour resulted in the little tench ( selfy photos apologise for the poor fishing handling ) 😅
The other 2 carp even tho it look identical and the same fish is not. Both carp was caught of double corn and the tench on alittle corn skin.
